Walk for the Animals
On May 7th, look for our table and staff (as well as our guests of honor!) at the annual AWLA-sponsored Walk for the Animals.
Come out to Gateway Park with your family & pet for Pet Preparedness Festival starting at 5pm, and then stick around to watch Beethoven 2 under the stars! Learn tips to make sure your pet is prepared for an emergency! Enjoy story time by Arlington Public Library, face painting, balloon animals, climbing wall, music, beer & wine at the Mobile Bar, and a snack at the Chix N Stix Food Truck. Brought to you in partnership with Rosslyn BID.
Each month of the year, the first 10 people to obtain a dog license in person from the County Treasurer’s Office will receive a $5 off coupon for microchipping at AWLA!

Did you know dogs need toys in their emergency preparedness kits to keep them busy and less stressed? Join us and NOVA Dogs in making hand made toys in February and March! Proceeds benefit AWLA.
We’ve partnered with neighborhood restaurants in Shirlington and Clarendon to make sure your furry friends stay hydrated in style. Full list of restaurants available in March!
Our volunteers will be walking dogs on local trails and at local dog parks. In April, look for our pups in vests and ask us your preparedness questions!
